Law firm Shoosmiths, which has bases in Leeds and Sheffield, reported an 8% year-on-year rise in revenue to £181.8m in its year-end results for the 2021/22 financial year.
Net profit rose 9% year-on-year to £60.7m and profit per partner rose 3% to £675,000.
David Jackson, CEO, said, “The company is growing and I am very proud of the extraordinary people at our company who have been instrumental in delivering the record financial performance we are announcing today.
“Of course, we don’t just measure our success by financial metrics. In fact, more importantly, we measure it by creating a positive impact for our customers, each other and the communities in which we operate.
“We have continued to be bold when it comes to meeting the needs of our customers. It’s why we opened our first international office in Brussels, and it’s also why we continue to innovate by developing exciting new products to help our customers work smarter, faster and better.
Shoosmiths adds that it has brought forward its annual salary review by two months, made a discretionary ‘thank you’ payment equal to 3% of all its staff’s salary in May, and an additional payment of £1,000 for all employees from September, to help with the impact on the cost of living.
