IPTIF, established by IIT Palakkad, receives support of Rs 100 crore from the Indian government’s Ministry of Science and Technology.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Palakkad Technology IHub Foundation (IPTIF) offers mentorship or incubation support to start-ups and entrepreneurs.

With the aim of working closely with industry to deliver business, technology and product products and create a vibrant innovation ecosystem, IPTIF is a Section 8 company established by IIT Palakkad with the support of Rs 100 crore of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India.

IPTIF provides a reliable platform for start-ups and technology entrepreneurs. Here are the courses you can apply for:

AARAMBH, a workshop-pitch event

With an innovation grant of Rs 15 Lakh, IPTIF, in collaboration with the Technology Innovation Foundation of IIT Palakkad (TECHIN), jointly launched a call for applications from start-ups / entrepreneurs during a workshop -pitch to present their unique ideas on Intelligent. Collaborative System Solutions (ICS) for Security and Energy.

Presentations on multidisciplinary ideas in fields including robotics, machine learning, software engineering and embedded systems with hardware and software components and related topics were welcome.

The evaluation of ideas for AARAMBH will be based on:

Innovation

· Technical competence

Social impact

Commercial viability

The deadline for submitting applications for this course has passed, but the workshops will be webcast live, for those interested.

IPTIF Entrepreneur-In-Residence (I-EIR) program

With the aim of inspiring innovative entrepreneurs to pursue their start-up dreams and to gain critical feedback / support to promote their entrepreneurial goals and aspirations, IPTIF is calling for applications from interested start-ups / entrepreneurs for its Entrepreneurs-In-Residence (I-EIR) program.

I-EIR provides a prestigious forum for deserving and aspiring entrepreneurs to pursue their projects without any additional risk associated with technology-based businesses. This program also encourages enterprising individuals to venture out and pursue bold entrepreneurial ideas as well as improve the quality of start-ups.

Another important support under the I-EIR program includes:

· Co-working spaces to develop ideas into a marketable product.

· Rs. 30,000 allowances for 12 months.

· Technical and commercial mentoring of engineers and experienced entrepreneurs.

· Mentoring and assistance for activities related to intellectual, legal and contractual property management, resource mobilization and other activities related to business development.

Albert Sunny, Assistant Professor at IIT Palakkad and Director of IPTIF, said: “IPTIF aspires to make our country a world leader in the field of cyber-physical systems (CPS). To do this, we plan to hone the skills of individuals at different technical levels, create various support systems for entrepreneurs and startups, and launch world-class R&D activities. Although our goals seem daunting, I have no doubts that we can achieve them with the support of our universities, our industry and our government. “
