Maj Vaseghi returned to Latham & Watkins after a stint at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, which she joined in 2020 with the firm’s opening of an office in Silicon Valley.
Vaseghi will work in the Latham’s Bay area offices as a partner in executive compensation, employment and benefits practice, the company said in a statement. She will also be a member of the Latham tax department.

Vaseghi, who spent 16 years at Latham before leaving in 2020, advises public companies on corporate governance, securities law reporting and compliance, as well as proxy advice and disclosure guidelines. vote of institutional shareholders.

Vaseghi was one of a group of London-based Freshfields partners in 2020 with various major law firms to enter the booming deal market involving California technology companies.
Previously, she was in-house securities and corporate governance counsel at VMware, a cloud computing and virtualization technology company.
