Legal awareness camp in Ludhiana: 3,000 people made aware of social protection systems

The District Legal Services Authority, Ludhiana, and CT University organized a Legal Awareness Camp at Sidhwan Khurd, Ferozepur Road, during which at least 3,000 people were informed about social welfare programs run by the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi, and various government departments.

The camp was organized under the guidance of Manish Singhal, District Judge and Sessions Chairman, District Legal Services Authority.

Additional District and Session Judges Ludhiana, Raj Kumar Garg and Ajit Attri, Additional Assistant Commissioner (Urban Development) Anita Darshi, Chief Judicial Magistrate Sumit Makkar and District Legal Services Authority Secretary Raman Sharma were also present at the camp.

District Legal Services Authority, Ludhiana, Department of Labour, Department of Red Cross Revenue, Department of Health, Department of Punjab Roads, Department of Women and Child Development, Punjab State Power Corporation, Department of Employment, Department of Food and Civil Supplies, Department of Welfare and Department of Agriculture participated in the camp through their respective representatives and provided information on the various social welfare programs related to their respective departments and efforts were also made to solve the problems of the people on the spot.
